Ford MK 2 n.2 Winner Le Mans 1966 B. McLaren - C. Amon from spark is arriving soon to the Sunrich warehouse. This Ford MK 2 or GT-40 was the winner of the of the 1966 24 hours of Le Mans race along with two other MK 2's that contributed to a podium sweep. This beautiful car was powered by a 7.0 litter 427ci that was used in Nascar at the time and modified for road course use. The large power plant was paired with a built 4 speed gear box from Carroll Shelby's Organization in order to handle the high horsepower engine. Ford GT-40 went on to win the race for four consecutive years from 1966-1969. This amazing model from Spark is sure to impress and be a great display piece in any collection.
